PRIVACY
How Ember handles your information
Ember stores the information needed to provide your private wellness journal. This includes your Google account identity, entries, notes, reminders, reminder answers, preferences and messages sent through the service.
Google sign-in
Google is used only to identify your account. Ember requests your basic OpenID identity, email address, display name and profile picture. Ember does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendars.
Who can see your journal
Your entries are not public and other users cannot see them.
Exports and deletion
You can download your entries and account data from the Manage page. You can request account deletion by contacting the service owner. Deleting an account removes its journal entries, reminders, messages and settings from the active database.
Security
Ember uses server-side sessions, protected cookies, account separation, CSRF protection and Google identity verification. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid storing information you would not want placed on an internet-connected server.
Medical information
Ember is a personal journaling tool. It is not a medical service, emergency service, diagnostic tool or replacement for professional care.
